Maybe you don’t remember it, since it’s been 10 years, but Disney’s “Geek prince” was one of the most iconic teen movies back then. There was this one scene in the kitchen which has been chasing most youngsters since they’ve watched it. And it’s not because of the sweet moment between the characters, but because of that one ice cream – namely – the “Everything-under-the kitchen sink Sundae”. Lucky for you Disney revealed the recipe and we have the answers of your question, plus, if you stay with us we have another famous Disney bonus recipe. What will it be?
The “Everything-under-the kitchen sink” Sundae (4 to 6 servings)
Since the original recipe might be a little bit heavy on your pocket, considering the sheer number and volume of ingredients that it requires, we have added a short list of the most essential products. Also, every kind of additional sweets you have at home will do the job as well, as you can guess from the name.
- 5 Flavors of ice cream – vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, mint, coffee (2 scoops of each) – you better find a big bowl for this one
- ½ cup warm fudge topping
- ½ cup warm peanut butter topping
- 1 medium banana sliced
- 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
- ¼ cup strawberry topping
- ¼ cup pineapple topping
- 4 chocolate cookies
- 1 tablespoon crushed chocolate cookies
- 1 tablespoon dark and white chocolate
- 1 tablespoon chocolate and rainbow sprinkles
- jelly beans
- Pick’N’Mix candy
- 1/2 cup drained maraschino cherries
Even though the list can be intimidating, putting the ingredients together is not going to be a big challenge.
Way to prepare:
For a start, put a layer of the hot fudge and peanut butter topping in a bowl, layer the banana slices over it. Then, top them with all the ice creams. Add all the other toppings, almonds and candy. Use the 4 cookies, the cherries and the sprinkles as a final decoration.
It’s simple, yet, very delicious, and sometimes it’s all you need after a bad bay.
And our big bonus – the “Wreck it Ralph” cookies!
Another sweet treat, that you might have always wanted to try, is from the all-time favorite movie “Wreck it Ralph”. These heart-shaped cookies can warm the souls of those you care for. Here’s what you’ll need to make them.
For the dough:
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 egg
- a couple of spoons flour
- 1 package of sugar cookie mix
- 1 heart shaped cookie cutter
- 1 mixing bowl
Put the egg, warmed butter, the sugar cookie mix and the flour in the mixing bowl. Then mix them with a whisk or a beater. When the dough is ready, sprinkle some flour on the table and spread the dough. Use the cookie cutter to put the dough to hearts. Note: the bigger the shape, the better, since you’re going to need some space for the words: “You’re my hero”. Bake the cookies for 7 minutes in a heated to 350 degrees’ oven. Add a contour of with the white frosting after the cookies have cooled down. Then fill them with the blue frosting. Spread little sprinkles around the corners and add the inscription.
- white frosting
- blue frosting
- colorful sprinkles
- pink sour ropes
*you can make the frosting by whipping egg white. For the blue one add blue cooking paints
*You can “glue” the sour ropes to the back of the cookies by using some of the frosting.
Remember to always enjoy those treats with a company. Especially in these days, many people would need to hear (or read) the words: “you’re a hero”, so don’t hesitate to share your appreciation with your loved ones.
