Candy Trends on TikTok

Launched in September 2016, TikTok has become the biggest craze over the past five years. And don’t pretend that you haven’t downloaded it at least once for that period . With the unlimited opportunities of short videos, TikTok has become a great way to express oneself and share interesting stories and information. But its best and most popular feature is the many challenges and trends anyone can recreate. And candy hasn’t been an exception for the countless themes. That’s why we’re going to show you some of the most interesting candy trends over the years. Are you ready?

1. I can be your sugar – Candy

Of course, we start with some dance challenges since they are what made TikTok so popular in the first place. And this particular trend is so incredible! It went viral in 2019 but is still very impressive… and surprisingly not that hard to learn. The sound is from Doja Cat’s song “Candy”. That’s one of the top artists for music on the app. Here’s a video, so that you can learn the dance yourselves. Enjoy!

2. New Candy Shop Challenge

We all know this song, but it was never used in such a cool way before. This amazing trend is from 2020 and is all about another thing that makes TikTok so great – transformation videos. You’ve probably been shocked before by such videos that literally make a person glow up. All you need is a LED ring and … a candy. Most people do it with a lollipop.

Here’s how to make it :

In the first part you need to look as natural as possible – no make-up, with casual baggy clothes while the LED ring stands above your head. Then, when the music drops, you put the ring on your neck. Pause the video and go put on your best look. Come back and stand in exactly the same position as when you paused and … just stand like a badass. Very fun and easy to make.

“do it”  or “do the challenge”

3. The viral jelly fruit candy

This one has been tempting many TikTok users and their name has been a mystery for quite some time. We’re talking about the Jelly fruit candy trend. You’ve probably seen some of the TikToks of people biting into a gelatinous looking fruit-shaped candy. Their most unique trait is that they are actually very hard to bite into, which has resulted in some hilarious explosions in front of the camera. Fun fact, this trend was started by the comedian Jaden Sprinz, famous for his “vampire” teeth. A few days after he posted his video, he found out that these candies had sold out. Check it out here!

4. Crunchy fruit trend

This delicious trend is about making crunchy fruits at home. TikTokers have been posting videos of themselves biting into fruits, covered in a thin crystallized layer of sugar. Mouth-watering, right? Luckily, they’re not at all hard to make. All you need is three ingredients – sugar, water, and … fruit.

First, you need to make the syrup by combining ½ cup of sugar with ¼ cup of water in a pan. When the mix starts to boil, put the fruits in it. You can use grapes, strawberries, pineapple or whatever you like. Prepare a glass of iced water, so that you can slather the fruit in it immediately after you take it out of the pan. And that’s all fellows.

Trends come and go, but every time they get better and better. Who knows, maybe you’re going to make the next big challenge or trend. And now some news. Yes, we’re on TikTok!
